About Me

I have a deep interest in all forms of media and creative arts, currently building my skills with various forms of Animation, Hand Crafts, Games Development, and Music production.

I am a VFX Animation student who will be graduating in July 2026, and would like to find myself working on just about any projects as an asset developer for any VFX or Games studio, being interested in modelling, texturing, rigging and animation.

I am a curious person who loves to experiment with anything I can get my hands on. With a passion in creative customisation, I like to help people add their own personal flair to their everyday social activities. Most of my freelancing work is developing custom personalised avatars for Social VR experiences.

Immersive Media

I've always had a keen interest in immersive media, growing up obsessed with the idea of using your body as a controller for interactive experiences. My first exposure to this idea was the EyeToy series of games which was first released in 2003.

From 2022 onwards, I have been experimenting with making custom characters for the social platform 'VRChat', in which I have picked up a steady freelancing carreer in developing custom characters for a number of clients.

May 2025 - Updates Ongoing

Crafty - A VR rig capable of body and face capture.

My character 'Crafty' is a reflection of my interest for 1930's rubberhose cartoons. This character has evolved overtime to the current fourth version.

This project has been entirely independent, being responsible for the modelling, rigging, texture and Unity coding. He is built with my own body proportions in mind to best replicate my own movement when using custom built VR motion capture hardware called 'SlimeVR trackers'. This model features several different outfits and face tracking capabilities, using the Oculus Quest Pro's expression capturing hardware.

Showcased in the video below.

Toon Mallet - VRchat asset

The Toon Mallet is an asset I have produced for VRChat which I am selling online, in which players are able to upload my asset for their own characters to use.

My main goals of this project was to see what sort of assets I may be able to sell online, testing the waters of a market I wasnt sure id be successful in. I also attempted to make an effort in making this asset as accessible to consumers and other collaborators as possible, giving the option to edit the hammer themselves by providing a detailed photoshop file for customers to edit.

Older Crafty Model Experiments

Blender, Substance Painter, Unity, VRC Face Tracking

Third attempt 'Crafty Deer'

This version of Crafty was an attempt at a return to form from my initial design, removing some of its rubberhose identity from my previous design. I would use this model to play with the face tracking on my VR headset.

October 2023

Blender, Unity

Second attempt 'Crafty Toon'

This model of Crafty would break away from the more 'realistic' humanoid design I first tried. Inspired by 1930's rubberhose cartoon styles, I would experiment with adapting a notorious 2D style into a 3D setting.

Blender, Unity

First attempt 'Weird Crafty'

This was my first attempt at making a humanoid model. I wanted to try experimenting with VR, and wanted to try my hand at designing more interesting characters. Im not too fond of this design, and would build upon these ideas in future.

The OttFox - Commission

'The OttFox' was a collaborative project that aimed to build a player avatar that could represent both an Otter and a Fox simultaneously, whilst giving a large range of customizability to have the model best suit the player.

My responsibilities on this project included the Modelling, Rigging and Texturing the outfit. I also designed small icons using Adobe Illustrator that were used to represent the customization options.

I am not responsible for the the original art of the design, or the Unity upload of this project.

I had also created a short music visualiser to show off the model, alongside some music I had written for a VRchat world I helped to build.

University Work

From September 2022 - July 2026, I have been an Animation and VFX student with Norwich University of the arts. This page displays my more ambitious project work.

Tusk 'N Tide

Tusk 'N Tide is my final animation project for my first year at the NUA, compiling all of the knowledge gained in the year into a final ambitious animation. This video was created singlehandedly by me within 6 weeks. This includes all of the Modelling, Rigging, Animation and Texturing.

A video on the final render can be seen below.

Liminal Spaces

Our 'Liminal Spaces' project was a discovery into how we may be able to set up a compelling scene by using the idea of a liminal space, a space of transition. My own interpretation on this idea was to design a playground, finding itself at night and awaiting the new day to be interacted with once again.

A video on the final render can be seen below.

Several videos on the modelling process of my liminal spaces project can be found on my youtube channel. One of these videos is shared below.

Mario 64 Mod

This is a project I worked on to please my own nostalgia, and to see how I may be able to adapt my work into various game settings. This features a fully custom model which replaces Mario, with custom sound effects. Designed to mimic the limitations of the N64 of the original game in 1996.
